1920s Historic Home Renovation

Petrini Corporation took on a full-scale renovation of this historic 1920s home. Without changing the existing footprint, Petrini Corporation was able to fully modernize the interior by updating the floorplan and adding modern amenities while respecting the original historic elements of the property.

Kitchen Remodel

To create a more convenient floor plan, Petrini Corporation executed a complete renovation of the kitchen and additional rooms in this Dover home. The project was extensive, involving a complete reconfiguring of the existing floor plan to swap the location of the family room with the kitchen. All wiring and plumbing had to be relocated. In the end, the new placement of the new kitchen put it closer to the mudroom for better ease of living for the family.

Early 20th Century English Tudor Renovation

Originally built in 1875, this sweeping original estate home sits on a beautiful 1-acre lot enhanced by stone walls. This early 20th century, brick, English Tudor is approximately 6500 square feet. It was masterfully redesigned for the homeowner by Architect Mark Gluesing. This custom renovation preserved all original historic elements while changing the floor plan, updating the home with modern amenities, and constructing an addition.

Historic Colonial Home Renovation

When Petrini Corporation took on this historic whole home renovation, they knew they were going to face the challenge of preserving as much historical detail as possible while creating a charming, updated, and livable space for the owners. They repurposed a former barn, stable, and chicken coop to serve as the interior of the property. In addition, they relocated a portion of the existing barn and attached a custom addition, sourcing all barn board from Vermont. Petrini Corporation even worked around an existing 120-year-old maple tree that was important to the owners. The end result is a charming historic home full of character, and yet fully updated to suit a modern families needs.

1911 Sears & Roebuck Catalog House Renovation

This original Sears & Roebuck catalog house, The Ivanhoe, was originally constructed in 1911. The Petrini Corporation completed a stunning renovation and expansion that allows the homeowners to enjoy the best of both worlds. Original details were carefully blended with amenities of new construction from top to bottom. A bright gourmet center-island kitchen was added which opens to a dining area and a large fireplaced family room wrapped in windows. The gracious fireplaced living room with beautiful woodwork flows to a front-to-back sunroom. The dining room added a built-in china cabinet.

The expansion included a new master suite with incredible spa bath and double walk-in closets, an upstairs laundry, and bonus space in the walk-up third floor. In addition with the expansion came two finished rooms and a new full bath in the walk-out lower level plus a terrific playroom and guest/in-law space.

It is now affectionately known to the family as “The Abbey”.
